Dayrrl Butler
Dayrrl began his career as an accountant with the NYC firm of Coopers & Lybrand, CPAs in 1974. Dayrrl continued his articleship with Thorne Riddell(predecessor firm of KPMG) of Toronto Canada earning his Chartered Accountant designation from the Nova Scotia Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1976. Dayrrl holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics with minor in Mathematics from  St. John's University(Minn. '72). Dayrrl continued his academic pursuits and earned a Novell Certified Engineer designation in 1997.

Dayrrl is active in a number of professional and civic organizations. Dayrrl is a member of the Canadian, Nova Scotia, and Bahamas Institutes of Chartered Accountants. Dayrrl is a competent ToastMaster,  the firm's representative on the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce, and hold numerous officer positions in various organizations. Dayrrl is Roman Catholic, married and the father of four daughters and three sons.

Dayrrl enjoys fishing, and scuba diving in his spare time.    

Michael Taylor (now inactive)
Michael attended the George Heriots School, Edinburgh, Scotland. He apprenticed to Graham, Smart & Annan (Chartered Accountants), qualifying as a Scottish Chartered Accountant in September 1955. From 1955-57, Michael did hisNational service in The Royal Artillery, obtaining the rank of Bombardiar. 
Michael moved to the Bahamas in 1958 where his career started with a bottling firm and later as finance director of a brokerage firm. Michael began private practice in 1970.Michael is a member of the Scottish and Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants. Michael is very active in numerous civic organizations including the Bahamas International Trust, the Royal Society of St. George, and a Paul Harris fellow of Rotary International. 


ael is a avid golfer, member of the Lyford Cay Club, and also enjoys swimming. Michael is married and the father of one daughter and two grandsons.


Dayrrl and Michael joined forces in 1974 to form Butler & Taylor. They believe that their combined knowledge and experience will achieve remarkable results for all of their clients.
